One night only, Muse would be broadcasting a show of the Drones World tour to cinemas around the world. I doubted for a long time if I would go but then I decided that why it was a great opportunity to see them again before the new album is released.
It was great seeing their music ‘live” again but there was something missing. Maybe it is the fact that I wasn’t there in person or the way the set was build up. I don’t know!
The setlist was made up but the more upbeat songs and very hard focussed on the Drones album. I really missed the slower songs that normally break the show. It might have been the way the show was put together as a mix of three different shows that didn’t make it feel like one big show.
We were promised an exclusive view behind the scenes but besides a few flashes, there was no behind the scenes which actually sucked.
In the end, there was a small appearance of the band on the screen announcing the next single would be released the next week. There also was a small teaser of it but not long enough to know what it would be like.
I really hate the fact that I seem to be negative about the show but that’s actually not the case. I liked it but there was a small factor, on which I can’t put my finger, that was missing. I hope they can go on tour again soon so that I can see them live again and forget about this show.
