Scotland 2018

I have wanted to see Scotland for ages now, and with more and more TV shows being set or passing through Scotland the wanting just grew. So last year, we decided that our holiday this year would be a round trip of¬†Scotland. We chose for a guided trip because we wanted to get a view of Scotland without having to make many trips. So once we decided Scotland was the destination, I started looking into the different travel organizations that do guided trips. As there are three big bus travel companies I know in Belgium, I started looking at the itineraries and I chose Carolus Bus travels because this holiday is ten days long and passes Culloden Battlefield (which I want to see since I have read “Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon).¬† Once decided and booked the wait was on since it was still half a year’s wait before we would make the journey.

Rock Werchter 2018: Day Four

rockwerchter2018-headerHow is it possible that this is already the last day of the festival. So many bands have already come and gone, but now there are still some more on the agenda. This is the only day I’ve made plans to meet friends. They are only coming to the festival today and thus we’re hanging out.

Ed Sheeran – Festival grounds Werchter

Last year, when Ed Sheeran performed in Antwerp, I couldn’t get tickets. I was a bit bummed about this. But when his concert was announced at the Werchter festival grounds, I was ready to get up early and try to get tickets. The tickets were released one week after Rock Werchter 2017 and on a Saturday! I was very lucky to get tickets, I think someone had tickets in their basket and either didn’t buy them or their payment didn’t go through because at the moment I could enter the website (after being in the queue for half an hour) I couldn’t select any tickets and just seconds later there they were, available. I didn’t hesitate and now I’m on my way to Werchter for the second time this year!
